Job Description
- Conduct frequent visual inspections of Recreational Water Facilities during operation, ensuring SMS and VSP procedures are followed.
- Manage daily operations of Recreational Water Facilities, maintaining water quality according to SMS and VSP instructions under the supervision of the Environmental Officer.
- Verify pH levels and free Halogen.
- Maintain appropriate water temperatures in Recreational Water Facilities.
- Complete and submit records for Recreational Water Facilities as required by SMS daily to the Environmental Officer.
- Regularly check filter operation, water clarity, dosing, calibration equipment, and ensure accurate readings.
- Follow procedures set in SMS during accidental releases and complete necessary documentation.
- Report deficiencies to the Environmental Officer.
- Perform preventive maintenance on Recreational Water Facility equipment as directed, adhering to public health standards.
- Manage opening and closing of Recreational Water Facilities, including installation and removal of nets where applicable.
- Take safety precautions during rough weather conditions.
- Store pool chemicals safely under the guidance of the Environmental Officer.
- Promote the ship's waste management and environmental programs.
Job Requirements
- Experience in monitoring and maintaining recreational water facilities.
- Background in pool operations and USPH experience or equivalent.
- Experience in deck work, chemical handling, plumbing, and maintenance.
- Good communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to maintain detailed logs and documentation.
- Flexible and adaptable to daily activities.
