As the Operations Manager, you lead the country operations team to ensure smooth operations, both in compliance with local legislation and regional guidelines to expand the business.
Job Responsibilities
- Full control over the Port calls in Indonesia.
- Manage the Operations Teams such as the boarding agents, senior executives, final disbursement accounts specialists.
- Coordinate with the Business Development team to understand the customer requirements, SOPs, KPIs, etc.
- Ensure the performance of the operations in the country.
- Ensure implementation and compliance with Safety, Health, Security, and Quality policies and procedures among staff.
- Coordinate with the Head Office to identify, appoint, monitor and control the sub-agents in Indonesia.
- Able to travel to each appointed port call to ensure the service is met and completed successfully.
- Select (VDD) controlling sub-agents.
- Able to negotiate with sub-agents on costs/cost-effectiveness and report in a timely manner.
Job Requirements
- At least 8 years of operational experience in the relevant shipping industry.
- Proven experience managing the operations team to profitability and resolving issues.
- Able to manage operations and control costs and resources within the entity.
- Good knowledge of local legislation and export & import regulations.
- Mature, independent, proactive, and able to work under pressure.
