Magma – Connecting Stones
is a leading Italian specialist of natural stone, marble and exotic mineral finishes for the international superyacht and megayacht industry, supplying flagship interiors to top-tier German cabinetmakers and Italian shipyards for over fifteen years. With production based in Licata, Sicily, Magma works on the world's largest custom and refit projects in collaboration with shipyards, designers and owners' teams across Europe.
As part of a structured growth phase — including the expansion of our international portfolio and the launch of new service programs — we are
expanding our project leadership team
with the addition of a Director of Yacht Projects & Client Relations.
The role
Reporting directly to the Board of Administrators, the Director takes
end-to-end ownership of the client interface and project delivery
for our most strategic accounts. The role combines senior commercial leadership with technical project orchestration, working alongside the Production Director and the in-house design/engineering team to deliver complex stonework packages on time, on budget and on specification.
Key responsibilities
Own major client relationships
end-to-end: technical quoting, contract negotiation, milestone planning, change-order management, dispute resolution and post-delivery support, with existing accounts including Vedder and the Azimut-Benetti Group
Orchestrate project execution
across design, procurement, production, finishing, logistics and onboard installation — maintaining schedule, margin and quality across simultaneous projects of up to several million euros each
Drive portfolio diversification
— develop new client relationships with European shipyards, design studios and owners' project managers (Lürssen, Feadship, Sanlorenzo, Heesen, Baglietto, CRN, ISA, Perini Navi and equivalent) Lead the company's industry presence
at Monaco Yacht Show, METSTRADE, Cannes Yachting Festival, Boot Düsseldorf and equivalent events
P&L accountability
for project margins, with full transparency on quotation logic, supplier negotiations and execution KPIs
Mentor
the project management and production teams, raising the quality of client communication and project documentation across the organization
Required experience 10–15+ years
in the superyacht or megayacht industry, in roles such as Project Director, Operations Director, Commercial Director, Senior Project Manager or Senior Account Director
Direct experience of high-end yacht interiors — joinery, stone & finishes, marble work, custom craftsmanship — either supplier-side or shipyard-side
Track record of leading multi-million-euro projects with German and/or Italian shipyards or top-tier interior contractors
Fluent English and Italian
required;
German is a strong plus

Established network across European yards, design studios and owners' representatives
Strong financial literacy — able to read margins, manage cash-flow exposure on long-cycle projects and negotiate effectively with procurement and legal counterparts
Willingness to be
based in Licata, Sicily
