As the Operations Manager, you will lead the country operations team to ensure smooth operations, both in compliance with local legislation and regional guidelines to expand the business.

Job Responsibilities

• Full control over the Port calls in Indonesia.
• Manage the Operations Teams such as the boarding agents, senior executives, and final disbursement accounts specialists.
• Coordinate with the Business Development team to understand customer requirements, SOPs, KPIs, etc.
• Ensure the performance of the operations in the country.
• Ensure implementation and compliance with Safety, Health, Security, and Quality policies and procedures among staff.
• Coordinate with the Head Office to identify, appoint, monitor, and control the sub-agents in Indonesia.
• Able to travel to each appointed port call to ensure the service is met and completed successfully.
• Select (VDD) controlling sub-agents.
• Able to negotiate with sub-agents on costs/cost-effectiveness and report in a timely manner.

Job Requirements

• At least 8 years of operational experience in the relevant shipping industry.
• Proven experience in managing the operations team to profitability and resolving issues.
• Able to manage operations and control costs and resources within own entity.
• Good knowledge of local legislations and export & import regulations.
• Mature, independent, pro-active, and able to work under pressure.
