Description
We are seeking a dedicated and service-oriented Seating Host to join our esteemed team at The Restaurant . As a Seating Host, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring a seamless dining experience for our guests. Reporting directly to the Restaurant Manager , you will oversee seating and welcoming duties in the Colonnade during breakfast and lunch shifts, as well as manage table assignments and seating arrangements in the main dining room during dinner shifts.

Key Responsibilities
- Table Management: Coordinate seating assignments and manage hosting tables. Handle SilverWhere system tasks and compile reports for office communication.
- Guest Interaction: Acknowledge celebrations and ensure equal guest distribution during seating. Welcome guests in the Colonnade for breakfast and lunch, and assign tables in the Restaurant for dinner.
- Guest Preferences and Feedback: Record guest preferences in Siebel for future reference. Maintain a feedback log for follow-up and share relevant information with the GSM.
- Safety and Compliance: Familiarize yourself with and execute Seabourn’s HESS-MS protocols.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: 2-3 years of experience in a similar position within a 5-star establishment . Cruise line experience is preferred.

Physical Demands & Travel
Physical Demands: To ensure safety for both yourself and others on board, specific physical abilities must be maintained. As a Seating Host, you should be capable of bending, climbing, performing repetitive motions, and handling heavy lifting. Maintaining physical fitness is essential to carry out job-related tasks effectively.
Travel Requirements:
- Valid passport (with a minimum of 6 months validity)
- Flag state-issued seaman book
- General flag state or flag state-approved marine fitness medical
- United States C1/D visa
- English Marlin test with a minimum score of 80%
- Pre-employment medical examination
Working Conditions: Working on a cruise ship differs significantly from land-based occupations. Expect longer working hours and intensified work due to constant guest demands.
