Key Responsibilities
As an Marine Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, development, and execution of HVAC systems within marine projects, working across both engineering and site phases:
Design and technical development of HVAC and piping systems
Perform thermal load calculations and equipment sizing (AHUs, chillers, fans, piping)
Manage air and hydronic system balancing
Prepare P&IDs, layouts, and technical documentation
Support installation, commissioning, and sea trials
Coordinate with internal teams, shipyards, and external stakeholders
Ensure compliance with project specifications and marine standards
Requirements
~ Degree in Naval Engineering
~2–5 years of experience in the marine or HVAC sector (at least 1 year in HVAC systems)
~ Solid understanding of thermodynamics and fluid systems
~ Experience with CAD tools (e.g. AutoCAD, MicroStation, AVEVA, CADMATIC Marine)
~ Professional working proficiency in English and Italian
~ Strong teamwork and ability to manage technical complexity
Nice to Have
Experience with HVAC calculations and system sizing
Familiarity with P&IDs and technical documentation
Exposure to commissioning, start-up, or sea trials
