We are seeking a Junior Software Integration Engineer for Honeywell Building Solutions, based in Cologno Monzese, working fully onsite for the Cruise industry.

This apprenticeship is part of our University Relations program, designed to provide hands-on experience, mentorship, and growth opportunities for students and recent graduates. The program duration is 24 months.

Honeywell Building Solutions is a $2.5 billion strategic business unit within Honeywell’s Global Building Technologies. We install and maintain systems that keep buildings connected, safe, secure, comfortable, and energy-efficient.

Responsibilities

• Assist the project engineering manager in delivering complex integrated solutions for the cruise industry.
• Coordinate contributions from internal and external stakeholders to realize projects.
• Complete system design and documentation.
• Develop software, perform bench testing, and deliver commissioning packages; assist in start-up activities.
• Support application engineers during programming and site activities, including technical project management.
• Integrate systems into supervisor software, including third-party systems using protocols like BACnet, Modbus, OPC, KNX.
• Maintain Change Control logs to support project change management.

Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Software Engineering, or related fields.
• Fluent in Italian (C2) and English (B1-B2), with strong communication skills.
• Knowledge of networking, integration protocols, database technology, and industry trends; eager to learn Honeywell’s technologies.
• Self-motivated, able to work independently and in teams, committed to customer satisfaction.
• Willing to travel in Europe (20-30%) and work on cruise ships.
• Eligible for an apprenticeship contract.
