Noatum Maritime is seeking a Credit Manager with an international background to join our Finance team at Noatum Maritime in Barcelona - Torre Auditori (Spain). This role will play a key part in managing credit risk and developing a strategic roadmap for the credit management function within Noatum Maritime's current and expanding global footprint. The position will report directly to the CFO of Noatum Maritime.

If you are proactive, dynamic, with good communication skills, and eager to grow professionally, this is the project for you! This position will directly report to the CFO of Noatum Maritime, located in Barcelona, and its main functions will be as follows:


  1. Current Situation Analysis: Assess the current scope of credit management; Identify existing processes and systems; Determine credit volumes and geographic distribution; Analyze current results and challenges in credit management.
  2. Goal Setting: Establish clear and measurable objectives for the credit management department; Consider goals such as reducing credit risk, optimizing cash flow, and improving operational efficiency; Align objectives with the overall strategy of the group of companies.
  3. Organizational Design: Determine the organizational structure of the credit management department; Define roles and responsibilities; Assess the need for additional personnel and required competencies.
  4. Policy and Procedure Development: Establish clear and consistent credit policies for all locations and companies; Define standard procedures for credit risk assessment, credit granting, payment tracking, and delinquent account management.
  5. Technology Implementation: Implement tools for automated risk assessment, payment tracking, and reporting.
  6. Change Management and Communication: Clearly communicate organizational changes and new processes to all stakeholders; Provide adequate training and support to facilitate the transition; Foster a credit management culture centered on collaboration and accountability.
  7. Establishment of Performance Metrics: Define key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate the credit management department's performance; Regularly monitor KPI compliance and adjust strategies as needed.
  8. Cultural Diversity Management: Recognize and respect cultural and regulatory differences in the countries where the group of companies operates; Adapt policies and procedures to meet local needs and requirements.
  9. Continuous Evaluation and Improvement: Conduct regular reviews of the credit management department's performance; Gather feedback from internal and external customers to identify areas for improvement; Continuously adjust and optimize processes and policies based on best practices and lessons learned.
  10. Risk Management: Implement a proactive approach to identify and mitigate credit risks; Establish credit exposure limits and risk management policies.

Requisitos mínimos:

- Education: Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Experience: Credit Analysis or related roles (minimum of 5 years); insurance credit policy involvement, international background.
- IT Skills: Must: Excel. Desirable: MO Dynamics and Solunion tools.
- Languages: English (First Certificate).
- Others: Team worker.
