RINA is currently recruiting for a Cyber OT / Marine Engineer to join its office in GENOA or MILAN within the Cyber Security and Management Consulting Division.

Mission

We are looking for a Cyber Security Engineer to expand our technical team. The person will be responsible for :

• Identifying security risks within organizations and complex systems / architectures, particularly onboard vessels;
• Performing vulnerability assessments and penetration tests in IT / OT environments;
• Designing security measures and providing recommendations to improve security posture;
• Implementing technical security measures, including hardening systems / devices based on security baselines or requirements;
• Supporting customers in cybersecurity activities;
• Drafting technical reports;
• Developing software code / scripts and configuring network devices, including automated configuration tools;
• Writing technical documentation, including descriptions and test procedures.

Key Accountabilities

Knowledge of security aspects of major Operating Systems;Experience in vulnerability assessment and penetration testing activities (personal interest or passion such as CTF challenges);Proficiency in programming languages (Java, C / C++, C#, VB.Net, Python) and their interfaces with DBMS and development environments;Strong problem-solving skills;Excellent communication skills in Italian and English;Flexibility and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment;Willingness to travel within the country and abroad;Knowledge of networking models and cryptographic algorithms (SHA, AES, CBC, ECB).

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering or Cyber Security

Master’s Degree preferred

Qualifications

Desired Requirements :

Security Certifications such as GIAC / GICSP, ISA62443, CEH, OSCP, eJPT, PJPT, ISACA CISM / CISA / CRISC, ISC2 CISSP;Experience with security tools / platforms like automated configuration tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet), vulnerability assessment tools, penetration testing applications, cloud security, threat intelligence, mobile threat detection, IPS / IDS, EPP / EDR / MDR / XDR, code security analysis, WAF, SOAR, SIEM, GRC;

Experience in Red / Blue / Purple Teams is a plus.
