Shop Manager Position Overview

The successful Shop Manager will be responsible for the overall retail area of a cruise ship, overseeing operational, sales, and visual merchandising activities.

This is an excellent opportunity for a dynamic and customer-oriented individual to join our international team and contribute to delivering exceptional shopping experiences for guests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing the entire retail area, including coordinating operational, sales, and visual merchandising activities
  • Achieving and exceeding sales and service targets
  • Creating a memorable and engaging shopping experience for guests
  • Managing and motivating a multicultural team of sales associates, specialists, and supervisors
  • Coordinating merchandise loading/unloading and maintaining cleanliness in retail areas
  • Monitoring sales performance and preparing reports and voyage feedback
  • Actively collaborating with onboard and shore-based management

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in retail (preferably in fashion, beauty, or luxury sectors)
  • Team management and leadership skills
  • Training in sales techniques and visual merchandising
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office and POS systems
  • Fluent English (B2 level) and a second European language (Italian, French, German, or Spanish – B2 level)

  • Monthly gross salary: €7 days a week, 8–11 hours per day divided into 2/3 shifts
