Job Description:
As a 2nd Engineer Officer, you will run and maintain onboard machinery and equipment to ensure ship safety and efficiency, and take a leading role in the 24-hour watchkeeping team. The role offers the chance to travel, explore new places, and gain lifelong experiences.
Qualifications and Requirements:
* 2nd Engineering OOW Unlimited Certificate of Competency (CoC) III/2 for Motorships Only (essential)
* STCW High Voltage Management training certificate
* Experience on board a cruise ship is not essential
* CV should include gross tonnage of ships recently sailed
Candidates should have a strong technical background, enjoy problem-solving and hands-on work, be self-motivated, dependable, and willing to help others. Strong communication skills and adaptability are important. Crew are recommended to be up-to-date with COVID-19 vaccinations prior to joining a ship.
