Duties and Responsibilities
- Is always in compliance with the company's uniform and grooming standards.
- Maintain good work relationships with fellow staff members.
- Assist the host with greeting and seating when necessary.
- Ensure a harassment-free environment through proper personal conduct.
- Use respectful language with Guests, Staff Members, and Managers always.
- Respond appropriately in emergency situations to avoid danger to self, Staff Members, and Guests, always remain calm.
- Understand, comply with, and enforce all company policies and procedures.
- Responsible for promoting and maximizing beverage and food sales in the assigned workplace, while following and ensuring that all company beverage service standards are being adhered to.
- Accurately enter Food and beverage orders and deliver to guests in a timely manner.
- Communicate and establish rapport with guests.
- Ensures that company policy regarding the legal drinking age is followed, and practices responsible service of alcoholic beverages.
- Possess full knowledge of food and beverage products.
- Conduct final quality check on the food and drinks before it is presented to the guest; maintain specifications by serving only items that are made properly.
- Maintains an attentive and proactive approach offering consecutive rounds of drinks, assuring satisfaction with the products served.
- Strives always to up-sell to a better quality of premium, super-premium products and recommends suggested beverages when guests ask for assistance in selecting them.
- Practice full hands in /full hands out.
- Prioritize and complete all opening, side, and closing duties.
- Pre-bus tables as needed and maintain an organized and clean service station.
- Responsible for the correct registering & and proper handling of all individual checks & and sales transactions generated in the assigned workstation.
- Ensure accurate balancing of all cash transactions at the end of the shift
- Ask for help whenever it is needed.
- Understand and utilize all safety and sanitation practices as in the health and safety program.
- Complete required and ongoing training for the position
- Assist management in training new staff members within the department when applicable.
- Notify the manager of low inventory.
- Performs other related duties as assigned or as directed. The omission of specific duties does not preclude the supervisor from assigning duties that are logically related to the position.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High School diploma or equivalent certifications
- 2 years’ experience in the F&B department would be an asset.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- While performing the essential functions of this job, all team members are required to stand, walk long distances, use hands to touch, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk, hear, taste, and smell. All positions require repetitive motion of bending, climbing, going up and down stairs, and lifting more than 25 pounds. This job requires specific vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
- All team members must be physically able to participate in emergency lifesaving procedures and drills. All positions require full use and range of arms and legs as well as full visual, verbal, and hearing abilities to receive and give instructions in the event of an emergency.
- Work within different temperature changes, indoors to outdoors.
- Able to pass a basic safety course.
