Position Summary

Mar Recruitment Consulting, a specialized consultancy within the maritime and logistics sector, is currently seeking a Rigger for a position based in Mallorca, to join a leading international marine services provider specialized in the maintenance and repair of sailing yachts and superyachts.

Job Overview

As a Rigger, you will be responsible for stepping and commissioning a variety of projects from superyachts to race yachts and delivering the highest standards within the marine industry. Rigging, sailing and practical maintenance of masts and booms will be your primary roles. You will work together with an experienced team of Project Managers, other Riggers, Designers, Contractors and Mast Technicians.

Main Responsibilities

• Keep up to date with all project communication with the ability to provide knowledgeable input when necessary.
• Identify customer needs and propose to fulfil them with the appropriate company services or products.
• Contribute to the development of technical and practical solutions.
• Communicate effectively with all parties involved within the project.
• Understand project budgets and contribute to the development of project timeline, estimates and proposal.
• Liaise on multiple international projects and stakeholders.

Technical Skills

• Around 5 years' experience in a similar role.
• Professional sailing experience or working as shore crew.
• Experience with carbon fibre products, mechanical works and an understanding of hydraulics/electrical systems will be an advantage.
• University Degree or related qualifications.
• Proficiency level of English.
• Driving license.

• Problem‑solving ability and a can‑do attitude in daily tasks.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Availability to travel up to 70% of the time.
