Description
V.Ships Leisure is looking for Photo Studio Manager on behalf of Silversea Cruises.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible to provide workshops / lessons in Editing and Photography techniques particularly on Light room and Photoshop programs.
- Assists guests with image editing using Studio workstations.
- Promote and assist guests with image printing using designated kiosks.
- Promote the printing facilities of the studio. Assist the guest in the printing process in case of need.
- Promote and conduct private Photography lessons in Studio, in the Fields and private Zodiac.
- Provide camera related assistance and advise when needed.
- Promote and sell RGS prints onboard.
- Promote and sell photography accessories.
- Keep an accurate inventory of Studio equipment and items for sale.
- Timely order supplies.
- Timely report damaged gear and order replacement.
- Communicate with Hotel Director and Expedition Leader regarding opening hours.
- At the end of each voyage produce financial report.
- At the end of each voyage produce and submit general report.
- Post the sales in POS.
- Transfer the sales from the printing station to the POS.
- Transfer the data from the kiosk to the POS.
- Change the consumable of the printers including the inks.
- Regularly performs basic checks on the equipment in case of any problem – training will be provided on the basic steps to be followed.
- Reports any technical problems with the equipment to the supplier.
- Strives to reach set sales targets.
- Promotes the studio and services when interacting with guests.
- Upselling whenever an opportunity is presented.
- Provide explanations of the online RGS catalogue to the guest.
- Presents the various prints and accessories to promote them.
- Record each sales when these are performed.
- Adheres to departmental standards, specifications and work routines.
- Displays a thorough knowledge of the ships daily activities to be able to advise the guests.
- Confidently and professionally engages with guests, using the guest names at all times.
- Adherence to the Company’s code of conduct at all times.
- Practices preventative maintenance.
- Practices good administrative housekeeping.
- Ensures confidentiality when handling sensitive information.
- Adheres to Standard Operating Procedures set forth by the Company, and is accountable for such practices.
- Incorporates Company service standards, personalized service and sincere hospitality by creating positive experiences for guests, efficiently engaging with guests and anticipating guest needs.
- Observes and enforces uniform standards according to Company policies.
- All other duties as assigned.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Valid STCW95 certification.
- Diploma or qualification in related field.
- Minimum 1 years experience in photography/videography, tourism or cruise related working environment.
- Strong presentation skills.
- Physically and medically fit.
- Moral integrity is required.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications. Strong working and teaching knowledge of relevant professional video/photo editing software (Lightroom and Photoshop is a must) and camera equipment.
