The Marine Engineer/Project Manager plays a crucial role in maintaining the day to day productivity of the company. The idóneo applicant should possess advanced technical skills as they will be overseeing complex marine construction projects and should have extensive experience within the marine industry with specific knowledge of welding practices and knowledge of class requirements ensuring that projects meet technical, regulatory, and safety standards.
They will be responsible for the management and performance of multiple projects and will need to have the expertise to take a project through conception to completion, including producing estimates, drawings, sourcing parts, overseeing our team of welders, managing client relationships and finally ensuring that projects are completed on schedule and to the highest standards.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS- Proven experience and a good practical understanding of boat construction, engineering and the processes relating to metal fabrication in the marine sector.
- Ability to multi‑task: work on several projects at the same time.
- Ability to visualize ideas from verbal or written instruction.
- Ability to complete fabrication drawings to assist production and a knowledge of AutoCAD would be beneficial.
- Strong shop floor management and leadership skills.
- Ability to think on your feet and problem‑solve.
- Practical office skills: oversee completion of timesheets, produce estimates and check invoices.
- High level of English and Spanish.
- Driving licence.
- Preferably residency in Spain.
