V.Ships Leisure is looking for Mandarin speaking Butler on behalf of Silversea Cruises. Responsible to deliver high quality, efficient, individualized and technically excellent in-suite valet and F&B service in accordance with Company Policies and strictly upholding any Public Health standards and towards a goal of achieving total guest satisfaction. Reporting to the Chief Housekeeper, Butler Manager, Senior Butler and In-Suite Captain.


Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare assigned guest suites according to guest preferences and history
- Replenish in-suite amenities such as private bar, fruit basket, collaterals, and mail delivery
- Adhere to procedures for greeting and arrival, demonstrate proper use of in-suite equipment
- Coordinate and fulfill guests' needs and requirements, ensuring satisfaction
- Respond immediately to guest requests, enquiries, and complaints, following up efficiently
- Monitor customer satisfaction and take prompt action to rectify issues
- Maintain cleanliness and stock of crockery, cutlery, and glassware
- Clean suites, assist with turndown service and bed making with suite attendant
- Complete cleaning and restocking of suites before proceeding to next
- Coordinate guests' wet cleaning, laundry, and pressing collection and delivery
- Provide packing, unpacking, and wardrobe maintenance services
- Provide shoeshine and luggage handling services
- Assist in booking reservations for restaurants, spa, shore excursions, and private tours
- Report suite maintenance issues
- Manage in-suite F&B requirements including dining, afternoon tea, canapé service, and private parties
- Maintain knowledge of ship's facilities, ports of call, and services
- Act as a source of help and information to guests
- Maintain communication within Housekeeping and other departments
- Attend daily butler briefings and meetings
- Support suite attendants in in-suite services
- Record and update guest history files daily
- Follow up on departmental side duty assignments
- Ensure special attention for long staying or occasion celebrating guests
- Respect guest privacy and demonstrate discretion
- Carry out embarkation and disembarkation duties
- Assist with inventories and maintain cleanliness of pantries and lockers per Public Health Standards
- Follow Outbreak Response regulations and report faulty equipment
- Minimize breakage and wastage, follow proper garbage disposal
- Assist with training and induction of new personnel
- Attend training sessions to improve performance
- Adhere to Company's code of conduct and Standard Operating Procedures
- Incorporate Company service standards and personalized service
- Practice good people management and enforce uniform/grooming standards
- Use new applications and devices as required
- Minimize use of disposables per Company and Public Health standards
- All other duties assigned


Education/Experience/Qualifications:
- Advanced level of Chinese language
- Valid STCW95 certification
- Butler Service/Training Certification or equivalent experience
- Knowledge of Public Health policies and procedures
- Physically and medically fit
- Moral integrity
- Positive and approachable personality
- Punctual, proactive, adaptable, well organized, self-managed, motivated
- Effective, clear, and concise communication
- Respect for privacy and teamwork
- Knowledge of Safety Management System and MLC requirements
- Ability to live in close quarters and share space
- Well-groomed appearance
- High standard of performance
- Excellent fluent English (verbal and written); additional language skills an asset
- Good working knowledge of applications, smartphones, tablets
