High‑end joinery and carpentry enthusiasts with a keen interest in luxury superyachts are invited to join PTW Shipyard. As a Marine Carpenter, you will report directly to the Head of Carpentry and be a valued member of the Restoration and Carpentry Department, performing precision carpentry work on both the exterior and interior of yachts.Experience
Minimum of 2 years of proven experience performing similar tasks.Responsibilities
Demonstrate knowledge of the marine industry, preferably in the superyacht sector.Execute precise wood and material cuts using power‑cutting tools.Interpret blueprints and address issues such as leakage, squeaking, and warping.Conduct interior and exterior carpentry, including cutting and assembly of boat parts such as doors, panels, boxes, and installation of customized components like hatches and marine hardware.Perform teak deck installation and maintenance.Work with marine epoxies and adhesives, including material preparation, proper mixing, and application, gluing and bonding, joint fabrication, basic fiberglass repairs, and safe cleanup and disposal.Meet project schedules, excel under pressure with tight deadlines, and consistently deliver high‑quality results.Strictly adhere to safety rules, regulations, and procedures, both in marinas and on‑board vessels.Maintain a clean work area, promoting safe work practices and a professional environment with high‑quality standards.Report work status to the department head, providing timely recommendations to enhance department quality and efficiency.Undertake additional duties as directed by the department head.Be willing to travel as required.Skills & Competencies
Strong focus on achieving results, maintaining quality, ensuring safety, and promoting efficiency.Ability to work collaboratively with a team as well as independently, including supervising and coordinating with external subcontractors.Excellent communication skills.Quick learner with the ability to transition easily between projects.Proficiency in monitoring and reporting on activities.Adaptability to changing job assignments, often daily.Commitment to continuous training and learning to support business needs.Languages
Proficiency in Spanish.Knowledge of English is a plus but not essential.Training
