Lead Yacht Rigger

Job Title: Lead Rigger Location: Palma de Mallorca, Spain Overview: We are seeking an experienced and highly capable Lead Rigger to join our yacht rigging team based in Palma de Mallorca. This role is ideal for a hands-on professional who can confidently manage day-to-day operations on the workshop floor, lead a team of riggers, and deliver high-quality rigging services across a variety of yacht types. Key Responsibilities: Lead, supervise, and coordinate a team of riggers, ensuring efficient workflow and high standards of workmanship Take ownership of “running the floor,” including job allocation, quality control, and project timelines Plan and execute rigging installations, inspections, and maintenance for sailing yachts Oversee lifting operations, including mast stepping/un-stepping and deck hardware handling Ensure compliance with all safety procedures and best practices during rigging and lifting operations Liaise with clients, project managers, and other departments to ensure smooth project delivery Train and mentor junior riggers, promoting skill development and team cohesion Required Skills & Experience: Proven experience in yacht rigging, with the ability to lead a team independently Strong practical knowledge of multiple rigging types, including: Alloy rigs Carbon fiber rigs Rod rigging Composite rigging Demonstrated experience with lifting operations, cranes, and associated equipment Valid slinger/signaller (slinger’s pick) certification Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail Strong communication and leadership abilities Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously Desirable Attributes: Experience working in a busy yacht service yard or marina environment Multilingual skills (English required;
