Lead Yacht Rigger

Job Title: Lead RiggerLocation: Palma de Mallorca, Spain

Overview:We are seeking an experienced and highly capable Lead Rigger to join our yacht rigging team based in Palma de Mallorca. This role is ideal for a hands-on professional who can confidently manage day-to-day operations on the workshop floor, lead a team of riggers, and deliver high-quality rigging services across a variety of yacht types.

Key Responsibilities:Lead, supervise, and coordinate a team of riggers, ensuring efficient workflow and high standards of workmanshipTake ownership of "running the floor," including job allocation, quality control, and project timelinesPlan and execute rigging installations, inspections, and maintenance for sailing yachtsOversee lifting operations, including mast stepping/un-stepping and deck hardware handlingEnsure compliance with all safety procedures and best practices during rigging and lifting operationsLiaise with clients, project managers, and other departments to ensure smooth project deliveryTrain and mentor junior riggers, promoting skill development and team cohesion

Required Skills & Experience:Proven experience in yacht rigging, with the ability to lead a team independentlyStrong practical knowledge of multiple rigging types, including:Alloy rigsCarbon fiber rigsRod riggingComposite riggingDemonstrated experience with lifting operations, cranes, and associated equipmentValid slinger/signaller (slinger's pick) certificationExcellent problem-solving skills and attention to detailStrong communication and leadership abilitiesAbility to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously

Desirable Attributes:Experience working in a busy yacht service yard or marina environmentMultilingual skills (English required; Spanish a plus)A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with a commitment to quality and safety
