Job Title: Lead Rigger

Location: Palma de Mallorca, Spain

Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and highly capable Lead Rigger to join our yacht rigging team based in Palma de Mallorca. This role is ideal for a hands-on professional who can confidently manage day-to-day operations on the workshop floor, lead a team of riggers, and deliver high-quality rigging services across a variety of yacht types.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead, supervise, and coordinate a team of riggers, ensuring efficient workflow and high standards of workmanship
• Take ownership of “running the floor,” including job allocation, quality control, and project timelines
• Plan and execute rigging installations, inspections, and maintenance for sailing yachts
• Oversee lifting operations, including mast stepping/un-stepping and deck hardware handling
• Ensure compliance with all safety procedures and best practices during rigging and lifting operations
• Liaise with clients, project managers, and other departments to ensure smooth project delivery
• Train and mentor junior riggers, promoting skill development and team cohesion

Required Skills & Experience:

• Proven experience in yacht rigging, with the ability to lead a team independently
• Strong practical knowledge of multiple rigging types, including:
• Alloy rigs
• Carbon fiber rigs
• Rod rigging
• Composite rigging
• Demonstrated experience with lifting operations, cranes, and associated equipment
• Valid slinger/signaller (slinger’s pick) certification
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Strong communication and leadership abilities
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously

Desirable Attributes:

• Experience working in a busy yacht service yard or marina environment
• Multilingual skills (English required; Spanish a plus)
• A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with a commitment to quality and safety
