Your Purpose

Your Impact

• Develop an evolving, interesting array of fitness/wellness opportunities to motivate our guests.

• Promote and up sell revenue, generating private training and wellness classes to meet guest needs.

• Ensure adherence to all corporate core standards. Work closely with the Wellness and Spa Management to ensure proper standards of hygiene and functioning of equipment is consistent and in accordance with safety standards.

• Monitor the cleanliness of the gym and movement studio facilities and assist with maintaining a high level of organization, tidiness, and stocked supplies.

• Attend and participate in all required training and re-training programs.

• Perform any other tasks or projects as assigned by the hotel management and staff.

• Maintain a safe working environment and abide by all health department regulations.

• Ability to interact with guests, providing full knowledge and assistance for maximum guest usage in an outgoing and positive, but unobtrusive manner.

Your Journey So Far

• High School Graduate or equivalent.

• Experienced and Qualified Fitness instructor with Level 3 PT qualification. At least 2 years’ experience in a gym offering both personal training and group exercise classes.

• Previous cruise ship experience is desired.

• Experience in teaching yoga, Pilates, indoor cycling, or Tai Chi is a plus.

• Qualifications in studio classes including exercise to music appreciated.

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to take a proactive approach to understand guests needs and desires.

• Exceptional guest service skills.

• Good organizational skills, with the ability to work independently.

• Ability to function under a fast-paced environment, set priorities and adjust to changing conditions.

• High work ethic, with sense of responsibility for the role filled within our team.

• Good analytical skills, pragmatic, solution driven and sense of continuous improvement.

• Maintain a professional appearance and behave in a mature manner with integrity at all times.

• Good elocution, innate sense of listening, politeness and dialogue; Charismatic, excellent interpersonal/ empathic qualities, strong team spirit.

• Basic familiarity in Computers. Ability to operate office equipment.

• Proficient in English. Any additional language is considered an advantage.
