Engineer
Requirements- “Schifferdienstbuch” with German stamp for the position “Maschinist”
- Qualification as ship mechanical engineer for river-going ships or any technical schooling
- Good level of German and/or English
- Experience with Caterpillar and/or Veth systems considered an advantage
- Experience on passenger ships considered an advantage

- Ensure professional and courteous service while managing the daily operation
- Maintain company standards and operating procedures
- Ensure the safety of the ship, the staff, and the passengers
- Adhere and enforce the company Safety Management plan
- Conduct quality controls and spot checks
- Perform technical maintenance to ensure a proper ship operation
- Perform work in the engine room, in guest’s suites and public areas
- Order adequate spare parts
- Plan and execute bunkering according to company procedures and environmental stewardship
- Plan and execute discharge of wastes according to regulations
- Work closely with the nautical team and shoreside offices to ensure a smooth nautical operation
Side Tasks- Assist the captain with preparations and supervision of winter repairs
- Report any accidents or incidents to the captain
- Identify “near miss” situations accordingly and follow up with reports
- Participate in scheduled trainings, briefings, and meetings
