The Port Operations Supervisor EMEA - Noatum Maritime Cruise Services is responsible for optimizing operational efficiency and service quality across EMEA, contributing to the growth and consolidation of the business. The role plays a key part in driving Noatum Maritime Cruise Services' growth and ensuring seamless service delivery to the cruise lines that we represent.
Key Responsibilities
- Port Call Coordination: Manage port call requests with shipowners, local teams, and Port Authorities.
- Berthing Monitoring: Monitor berthing piers and update client systems;
communicate updates to shipowners. - Cruise Operations Oversight: Supervise cruise operations across all ports, resolving issues and maintaining direct contact with shipowners.
- Procedures & Training: Update and maintain Noatum’s operating procedures;
deliver training to Port Agents. - Certificate Management: Track vessel certificates, manage renewals, and submit documentation for discount applications.
- Port Fees Oversight: Monitor and update port taxes and fees across all locations.
- Fee Compilation & Procurement: Compile port taxes and fees;
occasionally manage procurement of services (transfers, hotels, logistics, etc.). - Budget Preparation: Prepare annual and pre-arrival PDAs for cruise lines budgeting.
- Prefunding Monitoring: Monitor prefunding status from shipowners;
send PDAs post-departure when required. - Invoice Review: Review subagent invoices for accuracy and compliance.
- Evaluation Form Oversight: Monitor and manage Ship Agent Evaluation Forms submitted post-call.
- Metope Coordination: Coordinate delivery of metopes for first-time port calls.
- Third-Party Account Management: Open third-party accounts (clients and suppliers).
- Contact Database Maintenance: Maintain and update Noatum team contact database;
communicate changes to shipowners. - Operational Data Updates: Update operational spreadsheets (e.G., Vessel Characteristics, Contacts on Board).

- Bachelor's degree in Maritime Business, Logistics, Tourism, International Trade or a related field.
- Additional certifications in Port Agency, Maritime Law, Shipping Operations, or Team Leadership are considered a plus.
- Familiarity with port management systems, reporting tools, and process automation platforms is highly valued.
- Fluent in English and Spanish (spoken and written)
- 5 years of experience in a similar role within cruise or maritime operations.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
