Your Purpose

As a Dining Host/ess at MSC, you are the welcoming face of our culinary experience, ensuring that each guest enjoys an unforgettable dining experience. Your primary responsibility is to greet and guide guests to their tables while providing exceptional service that reflects the luxurious atmosphere of our cruises. Your role is to create an inviting atmosphere where our guests feel valued from the moment they enter the dining room. You will manage reservations, seat guests efficiently, and ensure their experience is seamless, whether it's for a casual meal or an elegant dining experience. As the first point of contact, you set the tone for our guests' entire dining journey.

Your efforts directly contribute to the overall guest satisfaction, which is a key element of our cruise line’s reputation. Through your work, you will help create memorable moments that our guests will cherish long after their cruise has ended. Your professional interaction with both guests and fellow crew members ensures smooth and effective service, elevating the atmosphere of the dining area and fostering a positive environment that supports our brand’s commitment to excellence. 

Your Journey So Far

Experience in Hospitality: You’ve likely honed your communication and hospitality skills in a customer-focused role, whether in restaurants, hotels, or other service industries. 

Previous Relevant Experience: Ideally, you have previous experience in a similar position, where you’ve demonstrated your ability to manage guest expectations, coordinate seating arrangements, and collaborate with teams to ensure smooth service. 

Passion for Customer Experience: A passion for food, hospitality, and providing extraordinary customer experiences is essential, and your background will enable you to quickly adapt to the dynamic and fast-paced environment of cruise dining. 

Adaptability in a Frenetic Environment: Your experience allows you to thrive in high-energy environments, ensuring you maintain professionalism while working efficiently during busy dining periods. 

Your Essentials

Proven experience in a dining host/ess or similar role in the hospitality industry 

Fluent in English (oral and written); additional European language skills are a plus 

Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills 

Ability to remain calm and professional in a high-pressure environment 

Strong organizational skills, with a focus on efficiency and guest satisfaction 

Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays 

A friendly, approachable demeanor with a passion for delivering outstanding customer service 

Relevant qualifications in hospitality or a related field are preferred
