Executive Housekeeping Manager

Job Description :

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Housekeeping Manager to join our team. As a key member of our Housekeeping department, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and maintenance throughout our properties.

As an Executive Housekeeping Manager, you will have the opportunity to work closely with our guests, providing exceptional service and exceeding their expectations at every turn. You will also be responsible for supervising a team of Housekeeping Supervisors and staff, providing guidance and support to ensure they meet the highest standards of performance.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent leadership skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team. They will be detail-oriented, organized, and able to prioritize tasks effectively. A strong communicator, the successful candidate will be able to build relationships with colleagues and guests alike.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the daily operations of the Housekeeping department, ensuring that all areas of responsibility are met to the highest standard.
  • Supervise and manage a team of Housekeeping Supervisors and staff, providing guidance and support to ensure they meet the highest standards of performance.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the Housekeeping department.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
Required Skills and Qualifications

External candidates require :

  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in a Housekeeping managerial role in a large hotel or hospitality industry related field, with demonstrated experience supervising a team of 10 employees or more.
  • A combination of education equivalent to a high school diploma or any other source of education, training or experience providing the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
  • Extensive knowledge of proper cleaning techniques, chemical handling and safety procedures, requirements and use of equipment, personal protective equipment and job safety analysis related to handling chemicals, lifting, pushing and pulling heavy equipment, and garbage removal.
  • The ability to effectively deal with internal and external guests, requiring discretion, patience, tact and diplomacy.
  • Flexibility to manage, direct and encourage a positive dynamic Housekeeping Supervisor team by navigating a changing work environment.
  • The ability to utilize and administer the progressive disciplinary action process through coaching and counseling to improve performance where possible.
  • Working knowledge of computers, Internet access and the ability to navigate within a variety of software packages such as Excel, Word or related programs.
