About UsLa siguiente información tiene como objetivo proporcionar a los posibles candidatos una mejor comprensión de los requisitos para este puesto.
JINGDONG Logistics (JD Logistics)JINGDONG Logistics (JD Logistics) is the logistics arm of and one of the world's leading technology-driven supply chain solutions providers. Leveraging advanced expertise in automation, intelligent logistics, and data-driven operations, we deliver end-to-end logistics solutions that help businesses grow while enhancing customer experience.
Our capabilities span the entire supply chain, including warehousing, line‑haul transportation, last‑mile delivery, bulky goods logistics, cold chain solutions, and cross‑border operations. Our mission is simple: to deliver speed, reliability, and operational excellence at every stage of the supply chain.
Context of the PositionAs part of our strategic international expansion, JD Logistics is establishing its core infrastructure within the Spanish market. This is a critical greenfield deployment phase, which requires our founding leadership team to manage high operational fluidity, establish local processes from the ground up, and translate centralized global capabilities into localized execution.
This position is designed for a highly hands‑on, mobile, and resourceful procurement and operations support professional. The role demands an agile coordinator who can navigate the immediate infrastructure and localized sourcing requirements needed to activate and support our last‑mile delivery stations.
The Mission & Core Scope
The Mission: Secure the rapid procurement, physical setup, and ongoing operational resource management across our Madrid last‑mile delivery stations, ensuring depot teams have 100% of the materials and localized assets required to run.
The Scope: You will own the localized purchasing execution, vendor onboarding, and administrative site support for the delivery stations, serving as a critical mobile resource moving between sites to clear non‑operational bottlenecks.
Crucial Expectations & Performance TargetsTo provide a clear understanding of the accountability required, the successful candidate will be evaluated on the following key metrics during the initial 6 to 12 months:
Station Launch Procurement: Successfully source, coordinate delivery for, and deploy all critical station‑level indirect supplies (including barcode scanners, weighing scales, route‑sorting containers, mobile driver safety gear, and office consumables) ahead of each depot's launch date.
Localized Facility Setup: Coordinate directly with localized facility vendors to ensure necessary utility connections, waste management, deep cleaning, and security gate passes are active and compliant with operational workflows.
Fleet & Vendor Support Coordination: Establish and maintain smooth communication lines with local vehicle leasing providers, maintenance shops, and fuel card vendors to keep the delivery driver operations running smoothly.
Ongoing Trouble‑Shooting & Asset Auditing: Conduct routine on‑site asset audits across the delivery stations to identify resource shortages, replace damaged equipment, and optimize localized operational spending.
Position Requirements
Greenfield Launch Expertise: You must have a verified background of successfully supporting a retail network rollout, field logistics expansion, or delivery depot launch phase in a purchasing, coordination, or project management capacity.
Mobility & Field Execution: A highly active, hands‑on professional who prefers being on‑site over sitting at a corporate desk. A valid driver's license is required to support multi‑site operations across the Madrid region.
Language Proficiency: Professional fluency in English and Spanish is mandatory to negotiate with local industrial suppliers, manage regional service contracts, and provide clear progress reporting to international management. Knowledge of Mandarin is considered a strong corporate asset.
Operational Flexibility: High adaptability regarding changing daily travel, prioritize real‑time operational emergencies, and handle evolving timelines common to a country‑level infrastructure launch.
Diversity & InclusionAt JD Logistics, we are committed to building an inclusive workplace where everyone can thrive.
We are proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer. Employment decisions are made based on qualifications, merit, and business needs, irrespective of race, ethnicity, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, disability, religion, or any other characteristic protected by applicable law.
