We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Category Manager to oversee the Food & Beverage (F&B) and Boutique Brands categories within our onboard retail program. Is a temporary position.
This role will play a pivotal part in curating, managing, and optimising the product assortment offered on board and through preorder channels. This position supports the Head of Category Manager in delivering the Revenue Budget, SPH and MPH as outlined in the category strategy. The ideal candidate will combine commercial insights, a passion for customer experience, and strong supplier management skills to drive revenue growth and enhance the onboard shopping experience.
Category Management & Product Development Lead the end-to-end lifecycle of F&B and boutique product categories for onboard and preorder sales.
Define and execute category strategies aligned with commercial goals and customer insights.
Develop an innovative and balanced product assortment tailored to passenger profiles, route demographics, and seasonal trends.
Monitor product performance and conduct regular range reviews to drive profitability and sell-through.
Source and negotiate with suppliers and brand partners to secure competitive pricing, exclusives, and marketing support.
Analyse market trends and competition in the market using BI/CI data and provide recommendations for category development
Maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and ensure alignment on delivery timelines, quality, and compliance standards.
Collaborate on joint business plans and co-branded promotional campaigns.
Develop and manage the pre-order product offering in collaboration with digital and logistics teams.
Leverage data analytics to optimise the preorder assortment based on customer behaviour, flight routes, and operational capabilities.
Ensure seamless integration of pre-order and onboard sales strategies to maximise conversion and revenue.
Cross-functional Collaboration Partner with marketing, supply chain, logistics, and onboard crew teams to ensure operational readiness and promotion execution.
Prepare presentations and reports following the guidelines and instructions provided by the Head of Category
Work closely with digital teams to enhance the preorder journey and digital merchandising effectiveness.
Provide training materials and product briefings for inflight teams to support upselling and brand storytelling.
Work Experience Minimum 3 years of experience in category management, preferably in travel retail, FMCG, or inflight services.
Experience with food & beverage and/or boutique/luxury consumer goods, with proven track record in commercial negotiations and product development, based on analytical mindset with proficiency in Excel, data tools, and performance dashboards.
Desirable: Strong understanding of onboard retail dynamics and preorder e-commerce
